Outreach & Missions

“So faith comes from hearing the Good News, and people hear the Good News when someone tells them about Christ. … Their message went out through all the world; their words go everywhere on earth.” Romans 10:17-18

LOCAL OUTREACH

The Food Pantry operates as an emergency pantry for those who find themselves in a temporary crisis and need some assistance. Stocked and cared for by the members of Faith Fellowship the pantry is open to help those within Lucas and its surrounding areas during difficult times.  If you are in need of assistance please contact the church office at 972.442.2121.  If you would like to donate items, typically canned goods, frozen meats and non-parishable items are needed the most. We know you will be blessed and be advised all contributions are tax deductable.

The jail ministry assists the Church’s local vision of outreach and discipleship by allowing the congregation the opportunity of visiting the prisoners to show the love of Jesus and add numbers to the kingdom of God. As a ministry we are offering the body the opportunity to show the love of Christ to those in need and to show others that we truly are walking in love. Our dream is to see that every person that has been taken captive by Satan through addictions or crime would be set free, saved and filled with the Holy Spirit. We want to teach the uncompromising Word of God so they will come to know how much Jesus loves them and will want to have a personal relationship with Him. We desire to see them living productive lives where they are able to find suitable employment and decent living accommodations. To see them plugged into a home Church that would surround them with the supportive love and accountability they are seeking. To see the body of Christ reach out to them and see how their own lives will be enriched through this relationship. All ladies are welcome to join us for the monthly meeting at Reconciliation Outreach. Men wanting to visit the Bonham unit can go in with us two times without a background check or training. This is a great way to see the ministry firsthand. To participate in going into the units, volunteers are required to fill out forms for a background check and attend a 4 hour training.

FOREIGN MISSIONS

Our Global Strategy
Jesus left us with the great commission of sharing the Good News of forgiveness and life in Christ Jesus with all people in every nation until He returns. Our Global Missions Strategy begins down the street and continues around the world.  One of our strategies is to support those who believe God wants them to go tell people in other countries this Good News. We seek to support people we know personally so that we can participate in their ministry. We also desire to support those who work with unreached people groups since these people have no other opportunity to hear the Gospel. And we support primarily with those who work in the area of preaching, teaching and evangelism. The following are organizations and missionaries we currently support on a regular basis.

BRAZIL

God has called us, the Orantes family, to invest in the children and youth of Brazil partnering with King’s Castle Ministries. Founded in 1989, King’s Castle Ministries purposed to raise up an army of young, Spirit-filled warriors who would invade Latin America with the simple message that ‘Jesus saves and is coming soon.’ Today that vision has expanded to dozens of countries throughout the world. We will work until all know that Jesus saves, heals, baptizes in the Holy Spirit and is coming soon. We will use team concept, seeking out people who have a call to children’s and youth ministry, then train and give them resources they can use in their local churches. We will also work to assemble a core group of teens and young adults who want to serve God and help them find and develop their God-given gifts while ministering to others.

ISRAEL

Maoz Israel Ministries, a Messianic Jewish ministry in Israel, is a catalyst & vehicle for outreach, training, translating, publishing, music recording, video production, economic and disaster relief, and established and underwrites a Hebrew indigenous Messianic Jewish congregation in Tel Aviv. Maoz exists to be a witness of the Good News to the people of Israel in outreach, discipleship and raising up godly Israeli leaders until the day when “All Israel Shall be Saved.” Our ultimate goal is to see the Israeli people accept the atonement of their Messiah Yeshua as promised in Scripture.

PANAMA

Alan Crookham In his own words, “A Texas raised, Christian missionary living for Jesus in Panama.” Alan has always had a broken heart for our brothers and sisters in chains all over the world. He continually lifts them up in prayer.  Alan went to Panama from Eastern Europe a few years ago with YWAM.  After arriving in Panama he met and married Karmy and last year their son, Elias joined the family.  Alan has been busy teaching and preaching to the Indians in the outlying areas as well as in the cities. A recent note from Alan says, “God is so good, sometimes there is just so much blessings that it’s impossible to even express it all. It has been wonderful month for us here in Panama and God has been touching many lives. We have been making a lot of new contacts, and as has been the custom for the past year new doors continue to open into new areas!

SOUTHEAST ASIA

World Venture serves in Southeast Asia building partnerships that will assist the church-planting movement among Muslims. We are to use our skills and gifts in media technology, promotion, development, administration and teaching to reach Indonesian Muslims for Christ. We have long felt the call to missions, and Muslims around the world have been of great interest to us. Indonesia is the largest Muslim country in the world with over 240 million people. It is an archipelago consisting of 17,500 islands, 6,000 of which are inhabited. The island of Java is the most densely populated island in the world with 130 million people. One of the ways we will minister is to connect people who have needs with those who can meet needs. The Gospel motivates us to meet physical needs, and meeting physical needs gives opportunities to share the Gospel. We will identify needs resulting from poverty or natural disasters, such as compassion, rebuilding or community development projects. We will communicate our desire to help, and build relationships with Muslims in unreached villages.
